"During his residency at La Becque, Delindro has been developing a project on the origins of Lac Leman. Equipped with frequency sensors, high sensibility hydrophones and microphones, several field recordings were conducted on different locations. The starting point is the Rhone Glacier, which has been the main responsible for the geologic formation of Lac Leman and the valley that precedes it.
The work in progress resulting from this research uses sound as the main vector in a new video-installation piece. If in the traditional documentary film practice sound comes as a secondary layer for moving image, here, that priority is subverted, and sound assumes the conductive role, allowing us to uncover intangible spaces, geologic movements and weather patterns that take place in each location."
Public event at La Becque, 22 November, 2019.
